A few departures or sources of passive income would suffice on that front and the club, thus, are hoping to clarify some exits in the coming days.<\/p>\n<p>Concurrently, however, there is a hope that transfers of some former players will bear some fruit in terms of the percentage that Barcelona retain.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In fact, the club have earned such \u2018passive\u2019 income from operations involving Jean-Claire Todibo, Ferran Jutgla, Alex Collado, Ilaix Moriba, and others in recent times and Mika Marmol could now be the latest on that list.<\/p>\n<p>Set for a big move<\/p>\n<p>As relayed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sport.es\/es\/noticias\/real-madrid\/justicia-ve-punibles-videos-real-119258441\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">SPORT<\/a> in a recent report, Marmol is closing in on a transfer to Girona and Barcelona retain 50% of any transfer fee that is paid for the player.<\/p>\n<p>The centre-back signed for the Canary Islands-based team after the 2022-23 season for a fee of \u20ac1.9 million and signed a contract until 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/ca-osasuna-v-ud-las-palmas-la-liga-ea-sports-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-158136\"  \/>Mika Marmol could join Girona. (Photo by Juan Manuel Serrano Arce\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>Now, however, Michel\u2019s side are reportedly interested in his signing and a fee of close to \u20ac5 million to \u20ac6 million is rumoured. Barcelona, in such a case, can receive up to \u20ac3 million through the operation.<\/p>\n<p>Given Girona\u2019s defensive struggles last season, it is clear why they are pushing for new signings at centre-back and Marmol is a player who has impressed their sporting director Quique Carcel a lot.<\/p>\n<p>Needless to say, Barcelona will see it as a win-win situation and another success story of their plan of inserting such clauses into transfer agreements of their homegrown stars. <\/p>\n<p>After all, they are now in need of revenue to improve their Fair Play situation as they push for <a href=\"https:\/\/barcauniversal.com\/barcelona-top-target-returns-from-vacation-to-finalise-transfer-to-camp-nou\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Nico Williams\u2019 incorporation<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"At this point in time, Barcelona are within touching distance of returning to the financial 1:1 rule.
