The details<\/strong><\/p>\n Bexar County residents can vote at designated polling centers throughout the county.<\/p>\n Local options include:<\/strong><\/p>\n Early voting schedule:<\/strong><\/p>\n For further information on polling sites, visit the Bexar County Elections Department website<\/a>.<\/p>\n “><\/p>\n What’s on the ballot?<\/strong><\/p>\n Voters will decide whether or not to pass the Bexar County venue tax, which would raise the hotel occupancy tax, HOT, from 1.75% to 2%. Funds from the HOT and the 5% tax on short-term car rentals will be used to fund multiple venue projects.<\/p>\n The venue tax is divided into two propositions, with Proposition A funding repairs and renovations to the Frost Bank Center and Freeman Coliseum, as well as the expansion of the grounds into a permanent home for the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. Proposition B will fund a portion of the downtown Spurs arena.<\/p>\n What else?<\/strong><\/p>\n Residents of North East ISD will also be able to vote on a $495 million bond, which will fund a variety of improvements across the district.<\/p>\n More details<\/strong><\/p>\n Voters must have a valid form of photo identification at the polls when voting in person, according to www.votetexas.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n Forms of valid ID include:<\/strong><\/p>\n Those without an acceptable form of photo ID can fill out a Reasonable Impediment Declaration at the polls and present an alternative form of ID, such as a bank statement, government check or utility bill.<\/p>\n\n
