The 6-foot-7, 310-pound starting left tackle sprained his ankle against <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/sites\/the-dore-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vanderbilt<\/a><\/strong> in the first quarter. He never returned and was seen on the sidelines in street clothes with crutches and a boot on his right leg. <\/p>\n<p>With a bye following Texas A&amp;M this week, there\u2019s some hope he could be back by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/alabama-crimson-tide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alabama<\/a><\/strong> on Nov. 8. Adams\u00a0has been a consistent presence for the Tigers so far this year with the challenge of protecting Garrett Nussmeier\u2019s blindside. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/dj-chester-150241\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DJ Chester<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/carius-curne-179831\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carius Curne<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/rivals\/ory-williams-94621\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ory Williams<\/a><\/strong> will be looked to step up in his absence. <\/p>\n<p>As a leader of the offensive line unit, Tyree Adams has seen the shortcomings in the run game and has been adamant about making tweaks. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncaa.com\/stats\/football\/fbs\/current\/team\/23\/p3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Tigers are currently No. 116<\/a>\u00a0in the country in rushing yards per game while also averaging 3.99 yards per carry. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s really just unity,\u201d Adams said of the offensive line room\u2019s growth. \u201cWe trust each other, and every day we\u2019re coming together as one, battling not just on the field, but off the field too. Dealing with class, film, schedules, it\u2019s the trust and unity we\u2019ve built.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>LSU is 5-2 on the season and coming off a loss at Vanderbilt. For the Tigers to remain alive in the College Football Playoff race, they will have to run the table. LSU hosts No. 3 Texas A&amp;M on Saturday night in Death Valley.
