\n\tNearly 7 million people attended the \u201cNo Kings\u201d<\/a> anti-authoritarian protests over the weekend, which took place in more than 2,700 cities across all 50 states (naturally, President Donald Trump<\/a> and the right had a lot to say<\/a> about it). In downtown Los Angeles, among those protesting was actor Pedro Pascal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tPascal posted photos of the protest on Instagram, where he was seen proudly in the streets alongside other attendees. \u201cProtect democracy,\u201d his caption read. He was also seen holding a sign <\/a>that read, \u201cNo kings<\/a>, only queens.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tJohn Cusack<\/a>, Justine<\/a> Lupe<\/a>, and Kerry Washington were among the other stars who participated across the country. \u201cSending so much love and gratitude to everyone who showed out for #NoKings today!\u201d Washington wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tHundreds of thousands attended the protest in Washington D.C., where Rolling Stone was on the ground reporting the scene<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019re here representing normal people \u2014 regular, peaceful Americans \u2014 who are against what this administration is doing, who are against the occupation of our cities and the disappearing of our neighbors off the streets,\u201d Jermaine Collins, a 34-year-old veteran of the war in Afghanistan, told us.<\/p>\n

\n\tPascal \u2014 who recently starred in the films Fantastic Four: First Steps<\/a>, Materialists<\/a>, Eddington<\/a>, and the shocking second season of The Last of Us<\/a> \u2014 has long been outspoken about the Trump administration. He\u2019s been vocal about immigration policies<\/a>, supported Planned Parenthood<\/a>, and fought for free speech<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tHe also called out J.K. Rowling\u2019s relentless anti-trans\u00a0stance as \u201cheinous loser behavior<\/a>\u201d last spring, then doubled down<\/a> on it months later. \u201c\u201cThe one thing that I would say I agonized over a little bit was just, \u2018Am I helping? Am I fucking helping?’\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s a situation that deserves the utmost elegance so that something can actually happen, and people will actually be protected. Listen, I want to protect the people I love. But it goes beyond that. Bullies make me fucking sick.\u201d<\/p>\n
