Freshmen <a href=\"https:\/\/uabsports.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/lance-carr\/11380\" rel=\"smarttag noopener\" rev=\"11380\" target=\"_blank\">Lance Carr<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/uabsports.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/justin-holloway\/11681\" rel=\"smarttag noopener\" rev=\"11681\" target=\"_blank\">Justin Holloway<\/a> round out the new UAB frontcourt.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uabsports.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/kyeron-lindsay-martin\/11374\" rel=\"smarttag noopener\" rev=\"11374\" target=\"_blank\">KyeRon Lindsay-Martin<\/a> (No. 2, Forward, Sr.)<\/strong> \u2013 At 6\u20328\u2033 and 222 pounds, Lindsay-Martin brings veteran experience and physicality to the frontcourt. His presence at the four spot should help UAB maintain toughness on the glass and in post defense. Lindsay-Martin has played at Georgia and Texas Tech, proving he has what it takes to compete at a high level. Averaged 6.6 points per game at Murray State last year playing in 32 total games last year.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong>Jo\u00e3o Das Chagas (No. 3, Center, Jr.)<\/strong> \u2013 Standing 6\u203210\u2033 and 250 pounds, Das Chagas is the anchor up front and the tallest player on the team. Nicknamed &#8220;JV,&#8221; he offers size, rim protection, and a potential matchup problem for opponents lacking size. He recorded a 25-point, 23-rebound game against Elgin last year and earned NJCAA Division I Men&#8217;s Basketball All-Region 11 Honorable Mention.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uabsports.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/lance-carr\/11380\" rel=\"smarttag noopener\" rev=\"11380\" target=\"_blank\">Lance Carr<\/a> (No. 6, Forward, Fr.)<\/strong> \u2013 A 6\u20327\u2033, 210-pound freshman, Carr adds depth and versatility. One of the most athletic players on the team, he can bolster UAB&#8217;s rebounding and make highlight-reel plays. Carr helped lead Kimball High School in Texas to a state championship run last year.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uabsports.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/evan-chatman\/11382\" rel=\"smarttag noopener\" rev=\"11382\" target=\"_blank\">Evan Chatman<\/a> (No. 15, Forward, Jr.)<\/strong> \u2013 A junior transfer from McLennan Community College in Harker Heights, Texas, Chatman stands 6\u20328\u2033 and 220 pounds, adding size and scoring ability. He averaged 15.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game in junior college last year.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uabsports.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/justin-holloway\/11681\" rel=\"smarttag noopener\" rev=\"11681\" target=\"_blank\">Justin Holloway<\/a> (No. 22, Forward, Fr.)<\/strong> \u2013 Standing 6\u20327\u2033, &#8220;JT&#8221; adds length to the Blazers&#8217; lineup. He helped Alabama 6A high school Opelika to a 19-8 record during the 2024-25 season.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uabsports.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/daniel-rivera\/11427\" rel=\"smarttag noopener\" rev=\"11427\" target=\"_blank\">Daniel Rivera<\/a> (No. 23, Forward, Sr.)<\/strong> \u2013 A late addition to the 2025-26 roster, Rivera stands 6\u20327\u2033 and weighs 215 pounds. Last coached by Frank Martin at UMass, he brings a wealth of collegiate experience. Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Rivera has played at four schools, beginning at Odessa College (JUCO) in Texas.
