Savannah Guthrie regretted asking Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian about the rumors that the late Robert Kardashian Sr. wasn\u2019t her real dad.<\/p>\n
During Monday\u2019s episode of the \u201cToday\u201d show, the broadcast journalist was asked by an audience member if she had any major regrets in her career.<\/p>\n

NBC Newswire\/NBCUniversal via Getty Images<\/p>\n \u201cI asked\u00a0Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian, like, 10 seconds before we were going to break about the rumors that her father wasn\u2019t her father,\u201d Guthrie described, noting that she had intentionally waited until the last moment because she was \u201cso embarassed.\u201d<\/p>\n However, she remembered Khlo\u00e9 handling the awkward situation like a \u201cclass act.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cShe was like, \u2018Ah, nothing to it,’\u201d Guthrie recalled. <\/p>\n Guthrie\u2019s embarassing question came the same year that people began to speculate about Khlo\u00e9\u2019s paternity<\/a>. However, during an episode of \u201cKeeping Up With the Kardashians,\u201d she refused to take it by station that her \u201cdad is Robert Kardashian.\u201d<\/p>\n Since then, the Good American founder hasn\u2019t shied away from addressing the rumblings. <\/p>\n In 2017, when Simpson finished his prison sentence<\/a> for a Las Vegas armed robbery, she took to social media to shut down those who kept bringing up the rumors.<\/p>\n \u201cThey are all f\u2013ked lol such a\u2013holes,\u201d she responded via X (previously Twitter) at the time. \u201cHehe oh well\u2026 I\u2019m happy and they hatin.\u201d<\/p>\n Guthrie admitted she was \u201cso embarrassed\u201d when she did. It\u2019s not even anywhere close to being true.\u201d<\/p>\n He also said that, while Kris Jenner \u201cwas a cute girl\u201d and \u201creally nice,\u201d he \u201cwas dating supermodels.\u201d<\/p>\n OJ was notably best friends with Robert,<\/a> who was also his lawyer when he was accused of killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, in 1994.<\/p>\n He was ultimately found not guilty a year later, though he was declared responsible for Goldman\u2019s death in a lawsuit filed by the aspiring actor\u2019s family.<\/p>\n In 2012, allegations about Khlo\u00e9\u2019s biological father started to spread. Together, they welcomed Kourtney, Kim, Khlo\u00e9 and Rob Jr. <\/p>\n Their marriage came to an end when Kris confessed to cheating on Robert<\/a> with soccer player Todd Waterman in 1989. <\/p>\n
