(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/631284\/google-pixel-9a-leak-video-reviews\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Multiple<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/3\/13\/23633069\/google-pixel-7a-leak-vietnam\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> generations<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/10\/2\/23899648\/google-pixel-8-pro-unboxing-video-leak\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">of Pixel<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2021\/10\/18\/22732866\/google-pixel-6-leak-unboxing-sorta-seafoam\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">have<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2021\/10\/8\/22716681\/google-pixel-6-pro-leaked-video-assemble-disassemble\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">been<\/a> publicly unboxed, disassembled, and even reviewed before Google can show them off.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">But it seems Google doesn\u2019t want leakers to have all the fun \u2014 it plans to let 15 lucky fans try new Pixel phones while they\u2019re still in development, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-10-20\/google-to-let-superfans-test-pixel-11-before-it-s-announced?utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=author_alert&amp;utm_term=251020&amp;utm_campaign=author_24546737\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reports Bloomberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">While Google hasn\u2019t officially confirmed this yet, Bloomberg says it\u2019s reviewed official rules for a contest called \u201cThe Trusted Tester program,\u201d where 15 winners can \u201chelp shape a Pixel phone currently in development.\u201d They\u2019ll have to sign an NDA and agree to use the phones in special protective cases designed to disguise them while they\u2019re out in the wild, Bloomberg notes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">It\u2019s not unusual for companies to let their own employees test unreleased hardware <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/articles\/25\/07\/28\/iphone-17-development-device-spotted-in-the-wild\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">out in the wild using protective disguises<\/a>, or for companies to bring fans into their offices for focus tests, but to let fans take a Pixel-class phone out in the wild? Unheard of.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Could fans really spoil a Pixel surprise any more than leakers do anyway? The risk seems low. In recent years, Google has begun <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/711033\/google-pixel-10-design-tease-reveal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">preemptively revealing its own phones<\/a> in a \u201cif you can\u2019t beat \u2018em, join \u2018em\u201d strategy.
