{"id":319594,"date":"2025-10-20T22:07:10","date_gmt":"2025-10-20T22:07:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/319594\/"},"modified":"2025-10-20T22:07:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-20T22:07:10","slug":"the-daily-show-nabs-highest-rated-quarter-in-4-years-best-share-in-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/319594\/","title":{"rendered":"The Daily Show Nabs Highest-Rated Quarter in 4 Years, Best Share in 10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cThe\u00a0Daily\u00a0Show\u201d closed out its third quarter as its highest rated quarter in four years and its best average share in 10 years.<\/p>\n<p>The Comedy Central late night show averaged a 0.45 rating in the 18-49 demo \u2014 its highest since the first quarter of 2021 \u2014 and a 3.22 share \u2014 its highest since the third quarter of 2015, according to Nielsen big data plus panel viewing data for the third quarter of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>In additional to the milestones, \u201cThe Daily Show\u201d saw gains in both categories, with its rating soaring 25% from last year\u2019s rating of 0.36, and its share rising 42% from last year\u2019s share of 2.26. Comedy Central did not provide average total viewers for the quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, \u201cThe Daily Show\u201d ranked as the No. 1 cable series in late night on Mondays, when Jon Stewart hosts, both among adults 18-49, as well as in the younger demo among adults 18-34.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/powerwomensummit2025.splashthat.com\/Creators\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"970\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/1760998030_211_PWS-970-x-250-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7867003\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the ratings milestones, \u201cThe\u00a0Daily\u00a0Show\u201d\u00a0also scored its best third quarter social performance in franchise history. On social media, \u201cThe Daily Show\u201d scored 1.7 billion views \u2014 up 26% from a year ago \u2014 and 3.2 billion total minutes consumed \u2014 up 20% from a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>The quarter marked a turbulent time for late night, with fallout from Stephen Colbert\u2019s cancellation coalescing into Jimmy Kimmel\u2019s suspension from ABC and broadcast partners Nexstar and Sinclair.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Daily Show\u201d had a similar milestone for the first quarter of 2025 when it marked its biggest quarterly share in 10 years, which TheWrap revealed exclusively.
