She died on Oct. 1 at the age of 91.<\/p>\n \n\tThe Jane Goodall Institute previously confirmed Goodall\u2019s death in a\u00a0statement<\/a>, saying she had died from \u201cnatural causes\u201d while in California on a speaking tour. According to the death certificate obtained and published by TMZ<\/a> Monday, Jane also had epilepsy, but it did not specify if that played a role in her death.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cDr. Goodall\u2019s discoveries as an ethologist revolutionized science, and she was a tireless advocate for the protection and restoration of our natural world,\u201d read the statement announcing her death from the Jane Goodall Institute. Goodall was on tour in California when she died, and was scheduled to speak at UCLA in Los Angeles on Oct. 3, two days after her death.<\/p>\n \n\tThe conservationist community and celebrities alike have mourned Goodall\u2019s passing.
