On Sept. 21, Corbin Carroll stole his 30th base of the season<\/a> to became the first Diamondbacks player ever to be a part of the 30-30 club<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Oct. 15, he was announced as a Gold Glove finalist<\/a>, which could put him in an even more exclusive group.<\/p>\n

Since the Gold Glove began being awarded in 1957, only 15 players have won it while also having a 30-home run, 30-stolen base season. The only player to achieve the feat multiple times in their career is Barry Bonds, who did it four times.<\/p>\n

The most recent player to hit 30 home runs, steal 30 bases and win a Gold Glove was Bobby Witt Jr. in 2024, with Mookie Betts\u2019 2018 MVP season being the last before that.<\/p>\n

Such a strong combination of power, speed and defense is incredibly rare. Every player who has had a Gold Glove, 30-30 season has finished in the top 15 of MVP voting. Sixteen players finished in the top 10, 14 in the top 5, and six won the award for their league.<\/p>\n

The last MLB.com expert poll<\/a> of the regular season had Carroll finishing sixth in the National League.<\/p>\n

It is even more noteworthy for a player to have these skills at such a young age. Carroll made his MLB debut in 2022 at 21 years old. However, he didn\u2019t exceed the rookie limits until 2023, when he was voted the unanimous NL Rookie of the Year<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Should he win the Gold Glove, Carroll would become only the sixth player to have a Gold Glove and achieve 30-30 during their career age 25 or younger season and only the second player to do so in their third full year in MLB or earlier.<\/p>\n

Carroll isn\u2019t the only player with a chance to join this exclusive list this season. Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00edrez, Julio Rodr\u00edguez and Pete Crow-Armstrong also reached 30-30 in 2025 and were named Gold Glove finalists.<\/p>\n

Rodr\u00edguez is 130 days younger than Carroll but is in his fourth MLB season. Crow-Armstrong is a full year younger than both players, and 2025 was only his second full MLB season.<\/p>\n

Gold Glove winners will be announced on ESPN at 5:30 p.m. MST on Sunday, Nov. 2.<\/p>\n
