A new update for the Amazfit Active 2 (Round) smartwatch has arrived, software version 6.3.10.4. This update arrives a few weeks after firmware version 6.3.8.3<\/a>, also known as the OTA 4.1 update, was announced.\u00a0
<\/p>\n

However, this release did not reach Amazfit Active 2 (Round) users as expected. There may have been a bug with this update, hence the postponed rollout and a higher version number. The change log for software version 6.3.10.4 has been shared by a user on Reddit<\/a>, listing the same features which were scheduled to arrive in the earlier OTA 4.1 update. These include advanced running metrics, like vertical oscillation and ground contact time, as well as a new workout mode for ultra-marathon, and jump rope reminders.\u00a0

During a workout, users can now use a wrist raise gesture to unlock the smartwatch, and it will respond to button pushes whether or not the screen is active. On top of this, there is a new heart rate icon for external Bluetooth sensors, helping users to understand the source of the heart rate data. Plus, you can now take a screenshot of the watch face by pressing the watch\u2019s two buttons simultaneously. It is also worth noting that the BioCharge energy level monitoring feature has yet to be rolled out to the Active 2 (Round).

Users of the Amazfit Active 2 (Round) (curr. $79.99 at Amazon<\/a>) will be able to install this update via the Zepp app. Typically, such releases reach users in the US, Canada and China first, rolling out more widely a week or so later. <\/p>\n
