How to buy tickets for FC Dallas-Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Toyota Stadium<\/p>\n

Tickets are officially on sale for Match 2 of FCD\u2019s first-round playoff series with Vancouver. As of Monday night, prices for tickets ranged from $52-$189. Tickets in Toyota Stadium\u2019s Supporters section were priced at $41.95.<\/p>\n

What to know about the MLS Cup playoff format<\/p>\n

According to MLS,<\/a> 18 teams qualify for the playoffs at the end of the regular season. Nine come from the Eastern Conference, while the other nine are from the West.<\/p>\n

The teams that landed seed Nos. 1-7 automatically qualified for the playoff tournament\u2019s first round. Teams seeded eighth and ninth have to play wild card matches.<\/p>\n

FCD (11-11-12) finished the regular season with 44 points<\/a> to clinch the Western Conference\u2019s seventh seed. Vancouver (18-9-7) enters the postseason as the West\u2019s second seed, closing out the regular season with 63 points.<\/p>\n

The winner of the FCD-Vancouver series moves on to face LAFC or Austin FC in the Western Conference Semifinals.<\/p>\n

3 things to know about Vancouver Whitecaps FC<\/p>\n

1. A familiar opponent: <\/b>FC Dallas should be pretty familiar with its surroundings at BC Place in Vancouver. FCD faced the Whitecaps on Saturday, finishing the regular season with a 2-1 victory. Osaze Urhoghide and Kaick Ferreira scored for FCD, while Thomas M\u00fcller converted a penalty kick for Vancouver.<\/p>\n

2. Speaking of M\u00fcller:<\/b> FCD\u2019s defenders will have to keep close tabs on Vancouver\u2019s star playmaker. M\u00fcller originally joined Vancouver in August, signing with the club as a free agent. Before he took his talents to MLS, M\u00fcller was a mainstay with Germany\u2019s Bayern Munich and the German national team. He notably won the FIFA World Cup with his country in 2014.<\/p>\n

The German superstar wasted no time making an impact with the Whitecaps, posting seven goals and three assists in seven MLS regular-season appearances.<\/p>\n

3. A dangerous club in multiple aspects: <\/b>If it wasn\u2019t for its loss to FCD, Vancouver likely would have entered the postseason as the Western Conference\u2019s top-seeded team. To defeat the Whitecaps, FCD will need standout performances from its players. Vancouver finished the regular season with the best goal differential in the West at +28. The club coached by Jesper Sorensen posted 66 goals, allowing just 38 throughout the campaign.<\/p>\n
