\n\tOlivia Munn<\/a> is recalling her time on The Newsroom<\/a> and a disagreement she had with a male director who retaliated by smearing her work ethic.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a recent interview, Munn opened up about an incident she had on the set of the HBO<\/a> series.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere was a storyline where my character and Tom Sadoski\u2019s character are dating and falling in love,\u201d Munn said on Dax Shepherd\u2019s Armchair Expert podcast<\/a>. \u201c[The director] kept trying to force me to carry that storyline only on my side. He\u2019s like, \u2018Can you look out at him and smile?\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018Why she\u2019s busy doing this?\u2019 Or, \u2018Can you stop and snuggle up to him or flirt with him?\u2019 Or, \u2018Can you give him a kiss?\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018This is in the middle of working.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Your Friends & Neighbors said that she later learned that the unnamed director told a movie studio she was challenging to work with.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI was on the one-yard-line for the movie and my manager calls me and says, \u2018Hey, you\u2019re gonna get the role. But first, I guess there\u2019s another director who they know and he says that on The Newsroom you were late all the time and really combative,’\u201d Munn recalled. \u201cI lived seven minutes from there. I was never late. I was like, \u2018I know who this is.’\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tShe continued, \u201cHe just was trying to bash me. And I told my reps, \u2018Please tell the directors this.\u2019 And then I still got the role. But I will always remember that just because of our conflicts of how we approached a role, he wanted to ruin my chances of getting anything else.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Newsroom was an HBO series that premiered in 2012 and ran for three seasons.
