Scottsdale\u2019s signature Independence Day celebration returns for its 12th year on Friday, July 4, bringing an evening of family-friendly fun, entertainment and fireworks to WestWorld \u2014 all inside the fully air-conditioned North and South Halls.<\/p>\n
The event runs from 5 to 9:30 p.m. and will officially launch \u201cCelebrate 2026,\u201d a yearlong campaign commemorating Scottsdale\u2019s 75th anniversary of incorporation and the United States\u2019 250th anniversary. Attendees can visit the Scottsdale 75th booth to learn more about the city\u2019s upcoming celebrations.<\/p>\n
Among this year\u2019s highlights is the Kids Corner, featuring a snowy playland made of real snow, face painting, musical chairs, a cake walk, and the second annual Water Balloon Championship. All Kids Corner activities are included with general admission.<\/p>\n
Foodies can enjoy the M Culinary Backyard BBQ, a VIP experience led by award-winning Chef Michael DeMaria, complete with burgers, hot dogs, vegan options, and a giant American flag made from over 1,000 cupcakes.<\/p>\n
Back by popular demand, the Lerner & Rowe Bull-Riding Rodeo will feature junior riders and mutton-busting for kids, and the Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers Summer Slider Eating Championship will see 19 competitors\u2014including one flown in from Texas\u2014attempt to eat 30 sliders in 10 minutes.<\/p>\n
The evening also includes the sixth annual Right Toyota Parade of Heroes, honoring local leaders in categories such as fire safety, veterans, entrepreneurship, and health care.<\/p>\n
The night ends with the largest fireworks show in Scottsdale history, launched from the WestWorld property.<\/p>\n
Tickets range from $20 per vehicle for fireworks-only access to $50 for full event and BBQ admission. Parking is $20 and available for pre-purchase.<\/p>\n
