The Alabama singer known as Kirbi<\/a> is making a joyful noise on \u201cThe Voice\u201d <\/a>this season, earning praise for her heavenly vocals and charismatic stage presence. <\/p>\n

Kirbi, 24, whose offstage name is Savanna Kirby<\/a>, won her Battle Round on the NBC reality series<\/a> during Monday\u2019s episode, singing Lauren Diagle\u2019s \u201cYou Say\u201d<\/a> with teammate Carolina Rodriguez. <\/p>\n

All four celebrity coaches heaped kudos on Kirbi after the performance, and Niall Horan <\/a>chose to keep her on his team. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was just so angelic,\u201d Reba McEntire<\/a> said. \u201cKirbi, there\u2019s a totally different sound timbre to your voice that\u2019s sweet, pure, and totally believable.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no doubt that you have a tremendous talent,\u201d Michael Buble<\/a> said. \u201cYou have a beautiful presence on stage.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cKirbi, strong, beautiful, engaging, great showmanship,\u201c Snoop Dogg<\/a> said. \u201dSuch a veteran on stage.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was beautiful. It was emotional. It was everything we want in a battle,\u201d Horan said. \u201cKirbi, that rasp is just so beautiful at the top of your register that not many people have. And as Snoop said, you look like a veteran up there controlling the stage and controlling what\u2019s coming out of your instrument.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kirbi, a contemporary Christian singer from Florence, now moves on to a round known as the Knockouts. She\u2019ll compete against a teammate but sing as a solo artist, trying to impress her coach and remain on Team Niall. <\/p>\n

\u201cKirbi just gave me that level of emotion that I really wanted from the song,\u201d Horan said. \u201cShe\u2019s one of the greater storytellers in the competition. That\u2019s what it came down to.\u201d <\/p>\n

There was good news on Monday for Kirbi\u2019s teammate, as well. Although Rodriguez lost the Battle, she was \u201cstolen\u201d by Snoop and added to his team. Rodriguez also moves on to the Knockouts for Season 28, which begin on Monday, Oct. 27. <\/p>\n

A total of 32 artists will compete in the Knockouts, which feature eight singers from each coach\u2019s team. When the Knockouts are finished, only 16 contestants will remain on the show. <\/p>\n

Another singer from Alabama, Jazz McKenzie<\/a>, has moved on to the Knockouts as a member of Buble\u2019s team. McKenzie, a Birmingham native who lives in Huntsville, won her Battle Round <\/a>against teammate Trinity, singing Jamiroquai\u2019s \u201cVirtual Insanity.\u201d <\/p>\n

Zac Brown and Joe Walsh will serve as \u201cmega-mentors\u201d for the Knockouts<\/a>, helping the coaches to prepare the singers for this round. <\/p>\n
