(Supplied)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">US-based conspiracy theorist Donald Day Jr, who was in touch with two of the murderers, has had a watered down plea deal to a single charge filed in an Arizona court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Mr Crisafulli said news of the plea deal, where Day admitted to possessing guns as a felon, but charges relating to threats against US police were dropped, would &#8220;rock&#8221; the families of those killed and &#8220;hurt them immensely&#8221;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">In a statement, Rachel McCrow&#8217;s mother, Judy McCrow, said she was &#8220;disappointed&#8221; with the plea deal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;He chose to continue correspondence with the Wieambilla murderers and continued to support and encourage them,&#8221; she wrote.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"EmphasisedText_quote__TE6kn\"><p>&#8220;His correspondence (with the killers) is self-incriminating.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Queensland Police Union president Shane Prior agreed the news was &#8220;extremely disappointing&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;This is not a good result and that criminal should spend the rest of his life behind bars,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Mr Prior said he had been in touch with the families of the police officers who were murdered and shared their &#8220;heartbreak&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Day supported extremists<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Court documents revealed Day, through online profile &#8220;Geronimo&#8217;s Bones&#8221;, had been in touch with Queenslanders Gareth and Stacey Train.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/news\/2024-08-30\/wieambilla-shootings-inquest-nightmare-on-wains-road\/104269994\" data-component=\"FullBleedLink\" class=\"RelatedCard_link__rsgR9 FullBleedLink_root__lTw_U interactive_focusContext__yRhc_ interactive_defaults__AKxUU FullBleedLink_showVisited__g3Xvz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">It started as a routine police call. Why it occurred may never be fully understood.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">The pair, along with Gareth&#8217;s brother Nathaniel, killed two police officers who were responding to a missing persons&#8217; report at the rural property in December 2022.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">They also killed their neighbour, and left two other officers fighting for their lives, before they were killed in a shootout with specialist police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Court documents detailed how Gareth and Stacey Train had posted an apocalyptic video on YouTube after the shootings where they said authorities &#8220;came to kills us and we killed them&#8221;.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"EmphasisedText_quote__TE6kn\"><p>&#8220;We&#8217;ll see you at home, Don. (AAP: FBI &amp; District Court of Arizona)<\/p>\n<p>Plea deal<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">According to a deal filed in Arizona this week, authorities and Day agreed he would admit to possessing firearms and ammunition while a convicted felon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Court documents stated Day admitted to storing the majority of the firearms at his Arizona property, in a &#8220;gun room&#8221;, while one was kept in a shed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">The deal stated Day pleaded guilty to having used the firearms and ammunition, and while he did not purchase all of the armaments, he admitted to possessing them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Day had previously been convicted of multiple offences including violence against authorities, larceny and a prison assault.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Guns hanging in a storage room\" class=\"Image_image__5tFYM ContentImage_image__DQ_cq\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/0d248c4d97be76bb28236100bf785bc6\" loading=\"lazy\" data-component=\"Image\" data-lazy=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"Typography_base__sj2RP FigureCaption_text__zDxQ5 Typography_sizeMobile12__w_FPC Typography_lineHeightMobile20___U7Vr Typography_regular__WeIG6 Typography_colourInherit__dfnUx\" data-component=\"Typography\">Guns stored at Donald Day&#8217;s property. (AAP: FBI &amp; District Court of Arizona)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Documents made public earlier this year stated that other remaining charges \u2014 two for threats and one for an unregistered firearm \u2014 would be dropped.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">That included an allegation he had threatened Federal Bureau of Investigation officers when being arrested in December 2023.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">He was accused of telling them: &#8220;If anything happens to my wife, and I ever get out of these cuffs, I\u2019ll come for every f***ng one of you. How\u2019s that?
