{"id":323929,"date":"2025-10-22T13:31:13","date_gmt":"2025-10-22T13:31:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/323929\/"},"modified":"2025-10-22T13:31:13","modified_gmt":"2025-10-22T13:31:13","slug":"many-african-financial-markets-weakened-in-2025-report-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/323929\/","title":{"rendered":"Many African financial markets weakened in 2025, report says"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Tightening global financial conditions have negatively impacted more than a dozen African markets this year, a survey by South African bank Absa found.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Market depth \u2014 defined as \u201cthe size and liquidity of domestic equity and bond markets, along with the diversity of listed assets\u201d \u2014 weakened in more than half of the 29 countries surveyed in the bank\u2019s annual <a href=\"https:\/\/cib.absa.africa\/home\/insights-and-events\/absa-africa-financial-markets-index-2025\/#:~:text=The%202025%20index%2C%20produced%20by,%2C%20stock%20exchanges%2C%20regulators%2C%20market\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Africa Financial Markets Index;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Africa Financial Markets Index<\/a>.
