DFW Airport and Texas Health Resources also among honorees recognizing business leadership in conservation<\/p>\n

Texan by Nature<\/a>, the Texas-led conservation nonprofit founded by former First Lady Laura Bush, has named Fort Worth-based Acme Brick Company<\/a> as the No. 1 honoree on its 2025 Texan by Nature 20 \u2014 a statewide recognition of companies demonstrating exemplary commitment to conservation and sustainability.<\/p>\n

The TxN 20, now in its seventh year, honors 23 companies across 12 industries whose innovative practices make a measurable impact on Texas\u2019 natural resources.<\/p>\n

Acme Brick earned top distinction for its conservation initiatives within manufacturing, while Dallas Fort Worth International Airport<\/a> and Texas Health Resources<\/a> also represented North Texas among this year\u2019s honorees.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe business can be a force for nature through action, collaboration, and innovative models in conservation,\u201d said Joni Carswell, CEO and president of Texan by Nature, in a press release. \u201cIt\u2019s an honor to recognize these best-in-class examples that demonstrate how integrating business with conservation strengthens Texas and sets the standard for the globe.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s list showcases the range of Texas-based leadership in conservation \u2014 from energy and infrastructure to consumer goods and technology \u2014 with companies evaluated through a 17-point scoring system that measured their investment in conservation, environmental innovation, and measurable impact on land, water, wildlife, waste, and energy.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour leadership demonstrates what is possible when organizations engage in conservation,\u201d said Bush. \u201cYou have set the gold standard for conservation in Texas, inspiring others to bring nature into the places we live, work, and play.\u201d<\/p>\n
