No. No, there could not be. <\/p>\n<p> Sunday at 12:30 p.m. local time, 3:30 p.m. Eastern, the Bananas have a rematch against the Firefighters, <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/story\/2025-06-01\/savannah-bananas-at-angel-stadium\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the team they played at Anaheim Stadium<\/a> at the end of May. That game will go down at Boston\u2019s Fenway Park, home of the Red Sox, and will be streamed live on the Roku Channel. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t wait to bring the fast-paced game of Banana Ball to new fans all over the country on Roku!\u201d Savannah Bananas owner Jesse Cole said in a news release. \u201cAnd you better believe that we\u2019ve got some surprises in store for Fenway!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Guess there\u2019s little or no reason, except maybe having no internet access, to wait until the <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/tv\/story\/2025-06-03\/savannah-bananas-baseball-cw-broadcast-television\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CW does its own broadcast of the Bananas<\/a> playing the Texas Tailgaters on July 27 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBanana Ball\u201d \u2014 for those who don\u2019t have TikTok, Instagram, Facebook Reels, X or any Bananas-loving real-world friends \u2014 incorporates humor, gymnastics, lip-syncs and snappy dance choreography in an exhibition baseball game with <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/story\/2022-05-16\/banana-ball-rules-of-the-game-savannah-bananas-baseball\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rules that definitely don\u2019t match<\/a> those of Major League Baseball (though many of the players once had MLB aspirations). <\/p>\n<p>           <img id=\"yt-img-k66-lwKDPcs\" class=\"absolute\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/1751456290_372_hqdefault.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"\/>               <\/p>\n<p class=\"video-enhancement-title\">The\u00a0Savannah Bananas, a minor league baseball club, went on their first ever \u201cWorld Tour\u201d this year, taking their unique brand of baseball to various cities across America.<\/p>\n<p>Only the Bananas deliver baby races, a dancing umpire and backflips before balls are caught in the outfield. <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/dodgers\/story\/2023-07-23\/dodgers-farm-system-minor-leaguers-oklahoma-city\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Can\u2019t get that in Oklahoma City<\/a>. Plus the games are limited to two hours max, something <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/dodgers\/story\/2023-04-01\/pitch-clock-baseball-new-reality-players-fans\" data-autoplayable-video=\"true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">even the much-loved MLB pitch clock<\/a> can\u2019t deliver.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the team has sold out 18 major league ballparks, plus three football stadiums with capacities of more than 70,000.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets typically are available only through a lottery \u2014 and last time we checked the wait-list for that lottery, it was more than 3 million names long. Try to join it now and the Bananas website will tell you sure, go ahead, but be prepared to hold your horses till next season, my friend. Last season\u2019s games drew a million fans total.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is truly no sports experience with the same action as a Savannah Bananas game,\u201d said Joe Franzetta, the head of Roku Media\u2019s sports division, in the news release. \u201cWe look forward to using the power of our platform to amplify the game directly to both die-hard audiences and millions of new fans about to discover something special.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As owner Cole told The Times back in 2022, \u201cWe\u2019ve always been very clear about our goal. We exist to make baseball fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Folks with a Roku TV or who stream through a Roku device should be good to go for Sunday\u2019s free broadcast.
