Wimbledon 2025 has already been a rollercoaster of an event, and we are just two days in.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A mammoth 23 seeds have already been knocked out across the men\u2019s and women\u2019s sections, blowing wide open so many different sections of the draw.<\/p>\n

And, with round two throwing up another set of mouth-watering matches, it is expected that even more could now fall over the next two days.<\/p>\n

With that being said, we are still on for a few high-level collisions later on at Wimbledon<\/a>, should certain players avoid an upset.<\/p>\n

Jannik Sinner<\/a>, though, has now been warned about one player he could face as early as the fourth round.<\/p>\n

Jim Courier warns Jannik Sinner about top American player<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chatting on Tennis Channel Live<\/a> after day two of Wimbledon action, Jim Courier<\/a> made his prediction for who might actually be able to threaten the world number one at the All-England Club.<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, he named a fellow American, but to suggest Tommy Paul<\/a> is not an unpopular opinion given his history on this surface.<\/p>\n

Courier admitted: \u2018I certainly like Jannik\u2019s chances, but Tommy Paul is one of those guys you\u2019d be concerned about, I think, if you were in Jannik\u2019s team. <\/p>\n

\u2018Because he\u2019s got that Swiss Army knife that he can bring to the fight, right? He can chip and charge, he can crush and rush, he can get to the net. He\u2019s got finesse, and his serve, I think, Tommy Paul served games a lot on the surface because he\u2019s very comfortable hitting the slider.\u2019<\/p>\n

Prakash Amritraj, his fellow pundit, then expanded: \u2018A little bit more into the details of that, when he does get into the net, I think he\u2019s one of those few players who has good net coverage, too. Frances, him, Carlos, of course, they move in the right direction. They\u2019re able to actually cover based on the read of the passing shots. I think it\u2019s a little bit of a lost art. He has that. <\/p>\n

\u2018Again, one of those tools that I think very useful when you play those top couple guys.\u2019<\/p>\n

Jimmy Connors predicted which American would go the furthest at Wimbledon<\/a> before the tournament, and so far that\u2019s on track to come true.<\/p>\n

Tommy Paul\u2019s fitness going into Wimbledon is a concern<\/strong><\/p>\n

The only thing that might worry Paul\u2019s chances of beating Sinner, or even getting that far at Wimbledon, is his fitness.<\/p>\n

After all, the 28-year-old suffered an injury during his run at Roland Garros, which has frustratingly spilt over into the grass-court season.<\/p>\n

Forced to miss Queen\u2019s and thus give up his title without a fight, he then returned in Eastbourne only to be easily beaten by Dan Evans.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

A routine first-round win against Johannus Monday has offered him a nice return to form and fitness, and now hopefully he can build on this ahead of his projected meeting with Sinner.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Wimbledon 2025 has already been a rollercoaster of an event, and we are just two days in.
