Aryna Sabalenka has been the dominant force on the WTA Tour during 2025, maintaining her position as the world number one and winning the US Open. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Sabalenka<\/a> is now gearing up for the WTA Finals<\/a> in Riyadh, where she will be hoping to topple Coco Gauff<\/a> and the rest of the field to win the tournament. <\/p>\n

Jessica Pegula praised Sabalenka<\/a> after beating her at the Wuhan Open<\/a>, and her quest to win the only tournament she played on the Asian swing ended at the semifinal stage. <\/p>\n

For everyone on the WTA<\/a> Tour, the end of the season is nigh and after a long and hard schedule, the WTA Finals will provide tennis fans the chance to see Sabalenka in action one final time. <\/p>\n

Iga Swiatek has bemoaned the demands of the schedule<\/a> and perhaps she\u2019d be wise to take a leaf out of Sabalenka\u2019s playbook next year. <\/p>\n

Davenport has monitored how Sabalenka has gone about planning her 2025 schedule and she absolutely loves how she\u2019s conducted herself. <\/p>\n

She said on the Tennis Channel: \u201c\u201dIt\u2019s not a great feeling when you\u2019re ranked number one and not win a major during the calendar year and that was her goal for the entire season was to win majors and part of the reason why she was so despondent after losing in Australia, she did not handle the moment well in Paris at all. <\/p>\n

\u201cWimbledon, I\u2019m still not quite sure she\u2019s figured out her own game on grass on the biggest occasions, but she was able to achieve in New York moving forward. <\/p>\n

\u201cI love the way she\u2019s approached it, compared to some other players who kind of just choose to play in everything. She\u2019s all about the big tournaments, all about the majors, isn\u2019t really worried about the fall, went and played one tournament in Wuhan and now getting ready for the WTA Finals and just trying to enjoy the process as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sabalenka will be firm favourite to win WTA Finals<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old is in her prime right now and having enjoyed a brilliant year, the icing on the cake would be winning the WTA Finals for the first time. <\/p>\n

Sabalenka will be desperate to complete a career Grand Slam by winning the French Open<\/a> and Wimbledon<\/a> in the future, and only brave souls would bet against her. <\/p>\n

Given Sabalenka is waiting to win this event for the first time and will be well rested going into the tournament, she may take some stopping. <\/p>\n

The field is very strong for the WTA Finals this year, but Sabalenka will have the sort of desire that makes her tough to beat and perhaps Coco Gauff will find it difficult to retain her title this year. <\/p>\n
