In a new music video Beer explores the themes of love and heartbreak and depicts a breakup with her on-screen partner, who is played by Sean Kaufman of The Summer I Turned Pretty.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Beer performed \u2018Bittersweet\u2019 live for the first time as part of her set at the 2025 Victoria\u2019s Secret fashion show. She also sang hits like \u2018Make You Mine\u2019 and \u2018Yes Baby\u2019. Also performing were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/missy-elliott\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Missy Elliott and<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/karol-g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Karol G,<\/a> and it marked just the second time in Victoria Secret\u2019s Fashion Show\u2019s long history that the fashion show featured an all-women performance line-up.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Madison Beer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/madison-beer-interview-chapelle-roan-dance-pop-era-3793425\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spoke to NME <\/a>about how \u201cthere is a lot of guilt put on you\u201d when turning down opportunities she\u2019s not comfortable with.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople are like, \u2018Oh, someone else is going to take your place\u2019, and like, it\u2019s not a competition,\u201d she said. \u201cSomeone else can take my place. I\u2019m always going to be me,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd I think that that\u2019s been something that\u2019s really helped my mental health because I don\u2019t look at it as a competition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked about where she sees herself in this current wave of pop music, the singer said that she is satisfied with taking things at her own pace.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI obviously hope to always grow and I hope my concerts always get bigger, but I\u2019m OK with being more of the tortoise.
