“Barista” ranks first for growth in job searches this year, according to new data from hiring platform Indeed.<\/p>\n
“Ireland visa sponsorship” ranks second, followed by “hotel” in third place. “Receptionist” and “kitchen porter” also made the top ten searches.<\/p>\n
The most common overall search on Indeed remains a “blank” query, where jobseekers enter a location but leave the job title empty.<\/p>\n
“This signals both career uncertainty and openness among jobseekers exploring new directions,” according to Indeed.<\/p>\n
Almost 14% of searches on the company’s Irish site now come from abroad, while 42% of workers in Ireland have foreign work experience.<\/p>\n
Searches for “remote” and “work from home” roles also feature on the list of top queries.<\/p>\n
The data shows that almost one in five job postings in Ireland now mention remote or hybrid options, sustaining the post-pandemic shift toward flexible working.<\/p>\n
“This year’s top growing searches show us what jobseekers value most: opportunity, flexibility and mobility,” said Conor McCarthy, Vice President at Indeed.<\/p>\n
“The rise in hospitality and visa sponsorship searches reflects both a resilient domestic sector and strong global interest in Ireland\u2019s labour market,” he said.<\/p>\n
“Meanwhile, demand for remote and work-from-home roles indicates a flexible work trend that\u2019s here to stay,” he added.<\/p>\n
