Sick New World is a <strong>metal-based music festival<\/strong> launched originally in Las Vegas. The one-day festival immediately made a huge name for itself, attracting<strong> some of the heaviest headliners the genre<\/strong> has ever seen. Earlier this week, the festival announced its expansion into Fort Worth with a line-up that has us all ready to headbang.<\/p>\n<p>Headlining the festival is legendary Nu-Metal band, <strong>System of a Down<\/strong>. The politically-charged Armenian metal outfit, behind iconic tracks like Chop Suey and Toxicity, have been <strong>largely inactive the past years<\/strong> save for a few performances here and there, including at Sick New World in Las Vegas last year.<\/p>\n<p> <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-11938\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/sicknewworld-820x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Graphic shows the lineup for the Sick New World Festival in Fort Worth, Texas 2026.\" width=\"820\" height=\"1024\"  \/>Graphic via Sick New World <\/p>\n<p>Sick New World in Fort Worth will also see headlining performances from<strong> Deftones<\/strong>. Unlike SOAD, Deftones is an enduring atmospheric alternative metal band that have been musically prolific in the past few years, most recently releasing Private Music earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>Iconic metal outfit Slayer will be celebrating the <strong>40th anniversary of their pioneering record, Reign in Blood <\/strong>at Sick New World in Fort Worth. The band will be sharing the top bill with<strong> Evanescence<\/strong>, Ministry, AFI, and The Prodigy.<\/p>\n<p>Other established artists slated to perform at Sick New World include <strong>Underoath<\/strong>, The Melvins, Norma Jean, <strong>Power Trip,<\/strong> Poison The Well, She Wants Revenge, and Clutch.<\/p>\n<p> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-11942\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/FotoJet-2025-10-23T144333.455-1024x687.jpg\" alt=\"Image shows Deftones frontman Chino Moreno performing on stage at a concert.\" width=\"1024\" height=\"687\"  \/>Image via Shutterstock <\/p>\n<p>The festival will also feature performances by current killers, <strong>Knocked Loose<\/strong>, SUPERHEAVEN, <strong>Deafheaven<\/strong>, and Boy Harsher.<\/p>\n<p>Sick New World is a one-day festival takes place on<strong> Saturday, October 24, 2026<\/strong> at <strong>Texas Motor Speedway<\/strong> in Fort Worth, Texas. Presale tickets go on sale on <strong>Friday, October 24, at 10 am CT.<\/strong> You can sign up for presale now through the event website.
