The\u00a0Indiana Men\u2019s Basketball<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(IUBB) season officially gets underway in 14 days when the Hoosiers take on Alabama A&M on Wednesday, November 5 at Assembly Hall. Just like our football coverage, we are doing a countdown to tip-off. Today we take a look at sophomore forward Josh Harris.<\/p>\n Name:<\/strong>\u00a0Josh Harris<\/p>\n Height\/Weight:<\/strong>\u00a06\u20198\u201d \/ 225 lbs<\/p>\n Hometown\/High School:<\/strong>\u00a0Pembroke Pines, FL \/ Pembroke Pines Charter High School<\/p>\n Class:<\/strong>\u00a0Sophomore<\/p>\n Position:<\/strong>\u00a0Forward<\/p>\n NIL Store:<\/strong>\u00a0https:\/\/nil.store\/indiana\/iu-josh-harris-10<\/a><\/p>\n Josh Harris transferred to the Hoosiers after a very successful freshman season at the University of North Florida. With the Ospreys, he averaged 13.4 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per game while shooting 56% from the field and 33% from three with about one attempt per game. He started 30 games for a North Florida team that finished middle of the pack in the Atlantic Sun (ASUN) Conference.<\/p>\n Harris originally joined North Florida as an unranked recruit with the Ospreys being his only offer. He took that opportunity and not only ran, but sprinted with it. He earned All-Conference Freshman Team honors per iuhoosiers.com, which led to him being ranked as the 160th best transfer target in the most recent portal on 247 Sports\u2019 Transfer Rankings.<\/p>\n No doubt, the Hoosiers liked what they saw in Harris. He is a smooth operator around the court and is confident in shooting three\u2019s \u2013 though that\u2019s not his game per se. He is effective in the post and is strong enough to muscle his opponents off of him. He is not explosive, per se, but is extremely skilled and confident with his post moves and has the subsequent touch and feel to succeed in Big Ten play there. He should be in play to battle for minutes and certainly has opportunity to make a major impact in the 2025-2026 season.<\/p>\n The Hoosiers are set to open the regular season at Assembly Hall on November 5th against Alabama A&M.
