With the<a href=\"https:\/\/timesofsandiego.com\/arts\/2025\/06\/20\/midget-village-at-balboa-parks-1935-exposition-reflecting-on-a-bygone-attraction-and-changing-views\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Panama-California Exposition<\/a> on the horizon in 1915, they wanted a park that would serve locals and impress visitors from across the country. Parsons\u2019 thoughtful design would create the foundation for a park that blends natural beauty with playful elegance\u2014a space that could host festivals, concerts, and <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofsandiego.com\/arts\/2024\/11\/23\/essanay-studios-silent-film-innovators-the-handsomest-man-in-the-world-and-the-san-diego-tie\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">countless memorable moments.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/timesofsandiego.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/2048px-San_Diego_Fair_El_Prado_1916.png?ssl=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"780\" height=\"642\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/2048px-San_Diego_Fair_El_Prado_1916.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-351613\"  \/><\/a>El Prado in 1916 was the main axis and street of the\u00a0Panama-California Exposition, Balboa Park, San Diego, California.
