PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A man suspected of burglarizing a home in north Phoenix is in the hospital after police say he was shot by a homeowner Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

Phoenix police said they were called out to a shooting near 40th and Cortez avenues<\/a>, just south of Cactus Road, around 10:40 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a man had been shot. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. <\/p>\n

\"VideoVideo from the scene investigators focused on a small portion of the Cortez Avenue. Several evidence markers were visible.(Arizona’s Family)<\/p>\n

Investigators said they learned that he had burglarized a nearby home when he was shot by a homeowner. However, it\u2019s unclear if he was shot by that homeowner or a neighbor.<\/p>\n
