{"id":327707,"date":"2025-10-23T23:47:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-23T23:47:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/327707\/"},"modified":"2025-10-23T23:47:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T23:47:12","slug":"freeway-closures-planned-this-weekend-on-i-17-i-10-around-phoenix-area","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/327707\/","title":{"rendered":"Freeway closures planned this weekend on I-17, I-10 around Phoenix area"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\"><b>PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Drivers in the Valley should be aware of some upcoming freeway closures this weekend as the Arizona Department of Transportation continues work on improvement projects.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">On Interstate 17, southbound lanes between Jomax and Deer Valley Roads will be closed for pavement sealing, beginning Friday at 9 p.m. and lasting until 10 a.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">In addition, northbound lanes on I-17 between Loop 101 and Jomax Road will also be closed for pavement sealing. Northbound lanes in the construction zone area will be closed from 9 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">There will also be additional closures on I-10 in both directions between Avondale Boulevard and 75th Avenue for pavement marking.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Closures or lane restrictions for freeway improvement projects are scheduled at times in the...\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/C5BP5MALHNHS7HJZLHDO3RUTQA.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"751\" \/>Closures or lane restrictions for freeway improvement projects are scheduled at times in the Phoenix area this weekend (Oct. 24-27), according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.(ADOT)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Eastbound lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Sunday and westbound lanes will be closed starting at 9 p.m. Saturday, lasting until 10 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">As a result, both Loop 101 ramps to go northbound on I-17 and or eastbound on I-10 are closed.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list | article-list\">\n<li>Eastbound I-10 traffic can detour to eastbound Van Buren Street or McDowell Road to travel beyond the closure.<\/li>\n<li>Westbound I-10 traffic can detour to McDowell Road or Van Buren Street to travel beyond the closure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Drivers in the West Valley will also see some delays this weekend as the Northbound Loop 101 will be narrowed to two lanes between I-10 and Bell Road for pavement sealing. That will last from 9 p.m. Friday to noon on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">To add, the primary ramp to get onto the westbound I-10 from the Loop 202 in the Chandler area will be closed Saturday and Sunday for pavement maintenance.
