{"id":327807,"date":"2025-10-24T00:45:26","date_gmt":"2025-10-24T00:45:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/327807\/"},"modified":"2025-10-24T00:45:26","modified_gmt":"2025-10-24T00:45:26","slug":"nikkei-225-csi-300-hang-seng-index","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/327807\/","title":{"rendered":"Nikkei 225, CSI 300, Hang Seng Index"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A HDR evening shot taken at sunset of the Tokyo skyline.<\/p>\n<p>Fgm | E+ | Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Asia-Pacific markets rose Friday, after the White House said that U.S. President Donald Trump and China&#8217;s President Xi Jinping were set to hold talks next week.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump will leave for Malaysia late Friday and then travel to Japan and South Korea, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/china\/trump-meet-xi-south-korea-part-asia-swing-white-house-2025-10-23\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">meeting Xi next Thursday<\/a> after speaking at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation CEO Summit, Reuters reported.<\/p>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s benchmark <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.N225\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nikkei 225<\/a> index climbed 0.78%, while the Topix added 0.39%. Japan&#8217;s core <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/10\/24\/japan-inflation-edges-higher-for-first-time-since-may-matching-forecasts-as-core-core-gauge-eases.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">inflation rate accelerated to 2.9% in September<\/a>, the first increase since May and in line with expectations from economists polled by Reuters.<\/p>\n<p>This was higher than the 2.7% seen in August. The core inflation metric in Japan strips out the prices of fresh food but includes energy costs.<\/p>\n<p>Headline inflation in Japan also climbed to 2.9% from 2.7% the previous month.<\/p>\n<p>South Korea&#8217;s Kospi jumped 1.35% and the small-cap Kosdaq was 0.92% higher.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s ASX\/S&amp;P 200 was trading 0.19% higher on open.<\/p>\n<p>Futures of Hong Kong&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.HSI\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hang Seng Index<\/a> pointed to a stronger open, trading at 26,139 against the index&#8217;s previous close of 25,967.98.<\/p>\n<p>Overnight, the three major averages closed higher. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.SPX\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S&amp;P 500<\/a>\u00a0climbed 0.58% to close at 6,738.44, boosted by tech stocks, after a batch of strong earnings results.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.DJI\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dow Jones Industrial Average<\/a>\u00a0traded up 144.20 points, or 0.31%, to finish at 46,734.61. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/.IXIC\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nasdaq Composite<\/a>\u00a0outperformed, rising 0.89% to settle at 22,941.80, seeing support from the gains in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/NVDA\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nvidia<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/AVGO\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Broadcom<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/AMZN\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amazon<\/a>.
