A few months back, Bradley invited DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka to a Ryder Cup meeting and dinner.

It seems like one Ryder Cup hopeful is a huge fan of the two-time US Open champion as well.

Ben Griffin says he wants to play with Bryson DeChambeau at the Ryder Cup

It has been remarkable to watch Ben Griffin transform into one of the best players on the PGA Tour this season.

Griffin has two wins and eight top-10s to his name in the 22 events he has played in 2025.

Photo by Ken Murray/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images

The 29-year-old has gained a lot of distance off the tee this season.

In 2024, Griffin averaged 295.6 off the tee but this season he’s recorded an average of 304.3 yards.

The 29-year-old is like a completely different player to the journeyman who struggled to make cuts every week over the past three years or so.

When speaking on the Golf on CBS podcast, Griffin responded when asked who he would like to play alongside at Bethpage Black later this year.

He said: “I think I would pair up well with most of the guys, I would say I’m pretty friendly with everyone. I think it would be fun if I continue on this trend of hitting it further and getting stronger playing with DeChambeau would be really fun. Try to hit a bunch of bombs out there with him. I still feel like I need to get a bit more speed to get to hang with him.“

U.S. Ryder Cup standings

Griffin is currently sitting in eighth spot in the standings.

Although only the top six qualify automatically for the team, it would be very hard for Bradley to leave Griffin out, considering his form this season.

Here is how the team is shaping up right now.

Player name and position

1. Scottie Scheffler

2. Xander Schauffele

3. J.J. Spaun

4. Russell Henley

5. Brain Harman

The top eight on that list are absolute locks in my opinion. Bradley will most likely be guaranteed a place on the team as well.

That leaves three spots up for grabs, and the names currently occupying the bottom three positions will have to fight incredibly hard to be at Bethpage Black in September.

However, Griffin and DeChambeau will both almost certainly be at the Ryder Cup. Whether they are paired together remains to be seen though.

Bryson DeChambeau is a lock to be in the U.S. Ryder Cup team come September.
