It\u2019s been a long time since the Dallas Cowboys<\/a> picked up a road win over the Broncos. The last time Dallas left Denver with a victory was on Dec. 6, 1992.<\/p>\n

Troy Aikman<\/a> led the Cowboys to a 31-27 victory that afternoon at Mile High Stadium, going 25-for-35 through the air for 231 yards and three touchdowns. On Thursday, the Cowboys icon reflected on his trip to Denver and how Dallas adjusted to the elevation change that impacts multiple players when they face the Broncos.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t think it was a big deal, but I would bet that many of my teammates would disagree,\u201d Aikman told Sportsradio 96.7 FM\/1310 The Ticket (KTCK-AM)<\/a> about the elevation in Denver. \u201cYou gotta remember, as a quarterback, you\u2019re not really exerting that much energy on every play. So I always thought the hype was overrated, but then I have heard from other defensive players over the years that have talked about it as it being real.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aikman added that he has felt something different in Denver when he has traveled to the city after his playing career ended.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs far as just showing up the day before the game, then playing the game and coming home, I personally didn\u2019t feel like \u2014 I thought the whole thing about the altitude was overrated,” Aikman said. \u201cBut it is real, as we know, and some players experience that far different than others.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since that 1992 victory, the Cowboys have a 1-7 mark against the Broncos. Denver has won the last seven games, grabbing a 30-16 victory over Dallas in the last meeting in 2021 at AT&T Stadium.<\/a><\/p>\n

Sunday\u2019s game<\/a> will be key for the Cowboys as they look to improve on their 3-3-1 record.<\/p>\n
