He\u2019s a friend. We\u2019ve stayed in close contact since the Guardians movies, and I admire him greatly as an actor and as a director.<\/p>\n I just said, \u2018Hey, will you do me a favor? Come down, go to England, we\u2019re going to shoot you in a 3D environment, make a hologram of you, and you can play Jor-El. He was like, \u2018Okay.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n During another recent interview with Screen Rant<\/a>, James Gunn also stated his Superman is \u201cabout a person who thinks of himself in a certain way, finds out that isn\u2019t true, and has to recontextualize who he is in the face of that.\u201d<\/p>\n This is about his interior life. At the core of the story \u2013 it\u2019s surrounded by pyrotechnics and flying dogs and robots \u2013 but at the core of the story it\u2019s about a person who thinks of himself in a certain way, finds out that isn\u2019t true, and has to recontextualize who he is in the face of that. That isn\u2019t really what your normal Superman story is, nor any hero\u2019s story, for the most part. So I think that\u2019s a difference. He\u2019s more vulnerable in that way.<\/p>\n And then physically \u2013 I mean, listen, he\u2019s fighting an equal and opposite force. So, in some ways, it\u2019s no different than when Superman was fighting the bad guys in Superman II, in Donner\u2019s film.<\/p>\n But we do see him bleed, which is different. He can\u2019t make the world go backwards in time through spinning around it. So I kind of took a Superman that was a mix of different Supermans throughout the comics in terms of his power set.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The Cat in the Hat <\/p>\n Warner Bros. has released a trailer for its new Cat in the Hat movie starring the voices of Bill Hader, Xochitl Gomez, Matt Berry, Quinta Brunson, Paula Pell, Tiago Martinez, Giancarlo Esposito, America Ferrera, Bowen Yang, and Tituss Burgess.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The Old Guard 2 <\/p>\n Charlize Theron, Uma Thurman and Kiki Layne recap the events of the first Old Guard ahead of the sequel releasing today on Netflix.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Untitled Sea Monster Series <\/p>\n According to The Playlist<\/a>, Mackenzie Davis and Charlie Heaton will star alongside Josh Hartnett in upcoming, currently untitled limited series at Netflix about a sea monster terrorizing Newfoundland.<\/p>\n The Boys <\/p>\n Finally, filming has officially wrapped on the final season of The Boys, according to Eric Kripke on Twitter.<\/p>\n This is the last time I’ll ever be on this set.
