PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — This week on FYI Philly, we have big names in fashion and food. We take you inside the first Jordan Brand store in the U.S., visit a James Beard winner’s new restaurant and a new Italian masterpiece in King of Prussia and enjoy some southern comfort cocktails and vegan treats.<\/p>\n
Sao<\/strong> on East Passyunk Avenue opened in September from James Beard Award-winner Phila Lorn and his wife Rachel, along with partner Jesse Levinson. It is the second restaurant for Phila and Rachel following the critically acclaimed Mawn.<\/p>\n At his new restaurant, the food has a similar style with some popular dishes carried over from Mawn.<\/p>\n The new space has a raw bar at the heart of the restaurant featuring a rotating menu of crudos and oysters. The drinks menu is inventive, with selections like the Cotton Candy Cloud, and the show-stopping Smoked Old Fashioned. The new food emporium in King of Prussia is where you can enjoy a bit of Italy without having to go there.<\/p>\n The concept is to experience the Italian lifestyle through dining, shopping, and learning.<\/p>\n The company started in 2007 in Torino, Italy, and King of Prussia marks the 17th store in North America.<\/p>\n From quick serve to dine-in — at La Pizza & La Pasta — choices range from gelato and pastries, to sandwiches and salumi.
