\n\tThe 2025 World Series<\/a> gets underway Friday in Toronto, where the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> with their lights-out pitching and a guy named Shohei take on the American League champs Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> in their first Fall Classic appearance since winning back-to-back titles in 1992-1993.<\/p>\n

\t\tHow To Watch The World Series\t<\/p>\n

\n\tFox<\/a> has U.S. broadcast rights to the best-of-7 series, with live coverage of all games to begin at 7 p.m. ET\/4 p.m. PT, with the first pitch for all games set for 8 p.m. ET\/5 p.m. PT. The lead team of Joe Davis and Hall of Fame pitcher John Smoltz will call the games for Fox, with sideline reporters Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci also pitching in and Tom Rinaldi on features duty. (Side note: Lead producer\u00a0Pete Macheska is running his final World Series broadcast from the Fox production truck in his 22nd year.)<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to its broadcast network, Fox Sports will show the game in Spanish on Fox Deportes, with play-by-play announcer\u00a0Adrian Garcia-Marquez, analyst and former MLB<\/a> infielder\u00a0Edgar Gonzalez, announcer\/reporter\u00a0Carlos Alvarez, reporter\/analyst\u00a0Jaime Motta\u00a0and reporter\u00a0Michelle Liendo.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It is also making the game available on the Fox Sports app and new streaming service Fox One.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition, all series are available in the U.S. on MLB.TV via authentication with a pay-TV provider. In Canada, Sportsnet has English-language broadcast rights, with TVA Sports covering the World Series in French.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn radio, ESPN Radio has English-language rights, with Jon \u201cBoog\u201d Sciambi\u00a0on the call with Eduardo P\u00e9rez\u00a0and\u00a0Jessica Mendoza, and Buster Olney\u00a0reporting. The audio will also available on the\u00a0ESPN app\u00a0as well as SiriusXM 80. Univision Radio has Spanish-language rights.<\/p>\n

\t\tWhat about the matchup?\t<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Dodgers, who beat the New York Yankees in last year\u2019s World Series, awoke from a midseason slumber and are playing like a defending champ, sweeping away the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series with unmatched starting pitching and of course Shohei Ohtani<\/a>, the reigning NL MVP whose latest feat in Game 4 of the NLCS was hitting three home runs while striking out 10 to clinch the pennant. This is the Dodgers\u2019 fifth World Series appearance since 2017 (they won in the 2020 Covid year) under Dave Roberts.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Blue Jays, the AL East division winners, scored home-field advantage for the World Series by virtue of winning one more game than the Dodgers during the regular season. They have stars in Vladimir Guerrero Jr and George Springer, but their M.O. has been timely hitting and a solid pitching core, much like the Toronto teams that won back-to-back championships in the early \u201990s. They have not been back to the Fall Classic since.<\/p>\n

\t\tWhat does Fox have planned?\t<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Fox MLB studio desk will kick off coverage each night with the team of Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, David Ortiz and anchor Kevin Burkhardt. They also will wrap up with analysis and interviews after the games.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs for the coverage, expect more UmpCam and Swing Tracker tech, as well as DirtCams and FlyCams. Fox Sports says it will deploy 20 operated cameras, 10 with high-speed capture, as well as multiple wireless RF\/RF MOVI, ROBO and POV cameras.
