{"id":329970,"date":"2025-10-24T20:43:13","date_gmt":"2025-10-24T20:43:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/329970\/"},"modified":"2025-10-24T20:43:13","modified_gmt":"2025-10-24T20:43:13","slug":"man-charged-for-attempted-robbery-of-rolex-in-west-hollywood-nbc-los-angeles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/329970\/","title":{"rendered":"Man charged for attempted robbery of Rolex in West Hollywood \u2013 NBC Los Angeles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man who is accused of trying to rob a man of his Rolex at gunpoint in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/tag\/west-hollywood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">West Hollywood<\/a> was charged with felony crimes, the Los Angeles District Attorney\u2019s Office told NBC Los Angeles exclusively Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Samuel Crawford, 21, faced three charges, including a second-degree robbery and carrying a loaded firearm on a person.<\/p>\n<p>Crawford jumped out of a car on Sweetzer Avenue <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/news\/local\/west-hollywood-rolex-robbery-nbcla-exclusive\/3794899\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wednesday afternoon<\/a> and tried to steal the luxury watch from a retired professional athlete, investigators said earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>The athlete was able to disarm the attempted robber and pin him down on the ground until deputies responded to the scene. The retired pro fighter\u2019s girlfriend told NBCLA that she grabbed Crawford\u2019s gun and threw it over an apartment fence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was able to disarm and take the gun from him,\u201d the retired fighter, who declined to be identified, said. \u201cI had him pinned down. He was trying to get up.
