Singles who are exploring Fort Worth’s dating scene are (apparently) looking for love in the wrong place, according to a new national report.<\/p>\n
Real estate marketplace Zumper compiled its list<\/a> of “The Best U.S. Cities for Singles in 2025” by analyzing 100 of the most populous U.S. cities across eight metrics: The percentage of single individuals out of the entire city’s population; median rent prices for a one-bedroom apartment; the number of restaurants, nightlife, and entertainment options per capita; a cost of living index; the median non-family annual income; and unemployment rates.<\/p>\n According to these comprehensive measures, Fort Worth struck out as the 75th “best” city for singles in the nation.<\/p>\n Zumper’s experts suggest Fort Worth residents seeking a better dating scene should look out of state, to cities such St. Louis, Missouri, which ranked as the No. 1 best city for singles.<\/p>\n Knoxville, Tennessee came in at No. 2, and Salt Lake City, Utah was No. 3. <\/p>\n Rather than giving scores or numerical ratings, the survey gave letter grades for each of the eight key dimensions (“A” being the best, and “F” being the worst). Fort Worth’s highest grade was a “B” in the categories for unemployment rates, the cost of a one-bedroom apartment, and its cost of living.<\/p>\n Fort Worth flunked with a capital “F” in the categories for restaurants and entertainment establishments per capita, and for its percentage of single residents. That left the city’s median annual income for singles with a middling “C” grade, and its rate of nightlife options per capita with an uninspiring “D” rating.<\/p>\n Cowtown singles looking for romance in the Metoplex will have better luck in Dallas<\/a>, which ranked as the No. 50 “best” U.S. city for singles. Arlington also topped Fort Worth, scoring No. 67 overall, followed by Irving (No. 70) and Plano (No. 78). <\/p>\n
