PHOENIX \u2014 A man was arrested after crashing through the ceiling of Maricopa County Animal Care and Control\u2019s West Shelter in Phoenix on Friday.<\/p>\n

He fell while deputies with the Maricopa County Sheriff\u2019s Office were investigating a shattered window and blood on the door handles, according to MCACC spokesperson Kim Powell.<\/p>\n

Initially, staff members at the shelter near 27th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road<\/a> thought they were investigating a vandalism case, Powell added.<\/p>\n

\u201cA few hours into the investigation, a man came through the ceiling and was immediately arrested by MCSO deputies,\u201d Powell told KTAR News 92.3 FM. \u201cHe is facing felony charges.\u201d<\/p>\n

The shelter was temporarily closed due to the fall.<\/p>\n
