A three-year-old boy has died in the foyer of a Queensland police station after a crash south of Brisbane on Saturday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Emergency services were called to Burnside Road at Ormeau just before 5am following reports of a crash.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Police said initial inquiries indicated a witness had helped a 22-year-old woman and a child who were also in the vehicle, and transported them to the Beenleigh Police Station.<\/p>\n
“A short time later, the three-year-old child became unresponsive in the foyer of Beenleigh Police Station with officers performing CPR, however the boy died,” police said in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A 24-year-old Beenleigh man, believed to have also been in the vehicle, had left the scene with a one-year-old boy before officers arrived, police said.<\/p>\n
The man and the one-year-old boy were found by police at a Beenleigh address at about 6:30am.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said the boy was taken to Logan Hospital in a stable condition.<\/p>\n
Multiple crime scenes have been established with investigations continuing.<\/p>\n
Police said the man was assisting with enquiries.\u00a0<\/p>\n
There is no threat to the community and Beenleigh Police Station has re-opened.\u00a0<\/p>\n
