{"id":330867,"date":"2025-10-25T05:41:20","date_gmt":"2025-10-25T05:41:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/330867\/"},"modified":"2025-10-25T05:41:20","modified_gmt":"2025-10-25T05:41:20","slug":"woman-killed-in-crash-near-lake-pleasant-identified","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/330867\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman killed in crash near Lake Pleasant identified"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHOENIX \u2014 A woman who was killed in a head-on crash on State Route 74 in Peoria on Thursday was identified by police on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Crystal Tena, 43, from Goodyear, was killed when a Ford Bronco she was driving was hit head-on by a Dodge Ram truck on <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/B7HNjUSymy1SvsLV8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">SR74 between 87th Avenue and New River Road<\/a>, just south of Lake Pleasant, according to the Peoria Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>The crash led to SR74 being closed for more than five hours.<\/p>\n<p>Details of deadly crash near Lake Pleasant<\/p>\n<p>Peoria police said officers and personnel from the Peoria Fire-Medical Department responded to the crash just before noon Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Tena was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The<a href=\"https:\/\/ktar.com\/arizona-news\/ruben-gallego-shutdown-premiums\/5765271\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> highway closed<\/a> around 1:15 p.m. and <a href=\"https:\/\/ktar.com\/arizona-news\/ruben-gallego-shutdown-premiums\/5765271\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">reopened<\/a> around 6:40 p.m., according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.<\/p>\n<p>Police said that the initial investigation shows the truck was headed east on SR74 and attempted to pass other vehicles by entering the westbound lane.
