When we all think of Golden Retrievers, most of us picture sweet, easygoing dogs that don’t have a mean bone in their bodies, and that’s usually the case. TikToker @tatumdemare recently shared a video of her Golden Retriever puppy, Peach, trying to cuddle with her big brother, Teddy, but it\u2019s clear he\u2019s not having it!<\/p>\n

They don\u2019t even have a license to use them!”<\/p>\n Other viewers left more than 650 comments about Teddy’s reaction in the video. They pointed out that Teddy was not upset because the puppy was trying to cuddle with him; instead, he was guarding her from the other dog, a German Shepherd<\/a> named Luna.<\/p>\n @Wellumph pointed out, “It looks like he\u2019s resource guarding the other retriever. He\u2019s growling at the dog walking by. How do you not see this?” @pearlysuds agreed, “If you notice this isn\u2019t about her cuddling or even the female\u2026. he\u2019s looking at the other dog walking by. This is about the other dog.”<\/p>\n Tatum listened, and in another video<\/a> posted later, shared, “You guys totally opened my eyes in the last video! Teddy has always been\u00a0a big play growler\u00a0and is\u00a0very vocal,\u00a0but he has been growling more at Luna, and I think you guys figured it out for me. He\u2019s guarding the puppy! We\u2019ve always brushed it off and called it his ugly face because he\u2019s not aggressive towards them, but everyone in the comments of the other video has opened my eyes!”<\/p>\n She’s now looking to get some training for Teddy and shared other videos showing how well Teddy and Luna normally get along.
