Ruben Amorim does not care what Arne Slot<\/a> has to say about his Manchester United team after the Liverpool boss spoke of low blocks and long balls following last weekend\u2019s Anfield encounter.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Red Devils celebrated a first victory on enemy turf since 2016 as Harry Maguire\u2019s late header sealed a 2-1 win shortly after Cody Gakpo<\/a> had cancelled out Bryan Mbeumo\u2019s early opener.<\/p>\n

It was Liverpool\u2019s fourth straight loss in all competitions and boss Slot said afterwards that \u201cit is always difficult to play against a team that defends in a low block and mainly plays the long ball.\u201d<\/p>\n

But such comments are water off a duck\u2019s back to Amorim, who had no interest in the Dutchman\u2019s assessment.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cLiverpool is in the past, I don\u2019t want to comment,\u201d he said ahead of United\u2019s home game against Brighton<\/a>. \u201cThat is not important. <\/p>\n

\u201cImportant is what Fabian [Hurzeler] said to try to understand what is going to happen [against Brighton<\/a>]. <\/p>\n

\u201cI understand everything. I am really pleased that the team can play different games.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was an important win, but I was the first one to say that we need to play better with the ball. So, I don\u2019t care what Slot is saying, what people are saying about our team. <\/p>\n

\u201cI can evaluate my team and I am really clear that we should play better with the ball. We are going to try to do that in this game.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amorim was pleased by the way his side adapted to the circumstances and sealed a statement win against Liverpool.<\/p>\n

It was the first time that United have won back-to-back Premier League<\/a> games since the Portuguese arrived last November and there is hope it could prove the turning point of his reign.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are always talking about that but that connects with the other question about the way we face competition,\u201d Amorim said of that possibility.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you just think about that \u2013 that we are going to try to perform and put everything on the field \u2013 that is the most important thing.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, sometimes when you talk too much about turning points, it\u2019s worse. Let\u2019s take it naturally. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve won two games. It\u2019s no big deal, it should have come sooner.
