{"id":332701,"date":"2025-10-26T00:56:14","date_gmt":"2025-10-26T00:56:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/332701\/"},"modified":"2025-10-26T00:56:14","modified_gmt":"2025-10-26T00:56:14","slug":"storms-damage-homes-arts-fest-in-fort-worth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/332701\/","title":{"rendered":"Storms damage homes, Arts Fest in Fort Worth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/screenshot-2025-10-25-192853.png\" alt=\"\" data-v-7d0efd03=\"\"\/> article    <\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\"><strong>FORT WORTH, Texas<\/strong> &#8211; While the DFW Metroplex saw continuing heavy rain Saturday, many in Fort Worth were already dealing with the aftermath of Friday night\u2019s storms.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">Trees toppled over cars, knocked down power lines, tore roofs and damaged sheds Friday night in Fort Worth.<\/p>\n<p> Fort Worth residents suffer storm damage  <\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">Sara and Segundo Ruiz came home to find a tree knocked over into a power line in their backyard.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">&#8220;When we arrived home, before we left, we could already see our ceiling pretty damp, so let\u2019s just hope we don\u2019t arrive to a broken-down ceiling,&#8221; Sara said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">They left and are waiting for it to be safe for them to go back home.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">&#8220;We don\u2019t know what we\u2019re going to arrive home to right now,&#8221; Sara said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">&#8220;It is going to be very costly. It has damaged for sure our roof, and for sure the inside of our home,&#8221; Sara said.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">The Ruiz\u2019s said they\u2019re thankful to have such kind and helpful neighbors, and they\u2019re all just looking out for each other.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">But they\u2019re only one of many being impacted.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Fort Worth Arts Fest <\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">Jason Barnett is an artist participating at Arts Fest, a three-day festival in Fort Worth.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">&#8220;Just devastation. Tents knocked over everywhere, stuff floating away,&#8221; Bernett said.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">&#8220;This tent had partially collapsed with a huge bubble in the middle of it busted, water getting everywhere, ruining paintings,&#8221; he continued.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">While the artists had tried to prepare for the rain, Friday night&#8217;s storms were very strong, and it impacted their livelihood.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6fc2855c=\"\">&#8220;There were other people here who completely lost everything,&#8221; Barnett said. &#8220;A guy with glass right here by me, his entire tent collapsed, all his hand-blown glass just destroyed.
