The tensions are sky high as Barcelona take on Real Madrid in the season\u2019s first El Clasico on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal has already sparked fury within the Real Madrid camp by accusing the club of cheating, which has met with backlash from Los Blancos<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has recently criticised Real Madrid\u2019s questionable practice of putting pressure on referees through RMTV.<\/p>\n

Speaking ahead of the game, Joan Laporta reveals he is confident<\/a> of Barcelona\u2019s chances, but added that Real Madrid\u2019s practice of putting pressure on referees is far from ideal.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s prepare for a great match where we\u2019re all convinced our team will give us great joy. Our opponent has created an atmosphere around the refereeing team that is out of place,\u201d<\/strong> he said (h\/t MARCA<\/a>). <\/p>\n

Continuing, he adde: \u201cWith what their television network is doing, they\u2019re influencing the referees; it\u2019s a strategy for winning that shouldn\u2019t exist. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThey can\u2019t say the referees are hurting them or favouring Bar\u00e7a. We\u2019re not playing the victim; we\u2019ll try to win at the Bernab\u00e9u once again.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Laporta\u2019s comment came as part of his attendance at the 15th Congress of\u00a0the Barcelona Supporters\u2019 Clubs of Andalusia, Ceuta, and Melilla\u00a0this weekend\u00a0in Lepe,\u00a0Huelva<\/p>\n

At the event, the Barcelona president went on to talk about the club\u2019s financial position and the executives are determined to restore the club\u2019s former glory.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are better off than before and we haven\u2019t fallen into the trap of heeding apocalyptic predictions, which are neither here nor expected. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Board of Directors, and I, feel stronger, more convinced, and more determined than ever to complete the recovery of the club in all its aspects,\u201d said the president in his speech,\u201d<\/strong> he said. <\/p>\n

Finally, Laporta professed how well-knit the Barcelona team is and how a strong connection between fans and players, as well as the club can harbour growth going forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cBar\u00e7a\u00a0is an almost invincible feeling, and that\u2019s why I ask you to remain more united than ever in defending our crest, our essence, and to support our teams, coaches, and players more than ever. <\/strong><\/p>\n
