California Gov. Gavin Newsom has finally confirmed he\u2019s looking at a 2028 presidential bid \u2014 but is still playing coy about whether he\u2019ll actually run.<\/p>\n
\u201cYeah, I\u2019d be lying otherwise,\u201d Newsom told \u201cCBS News Sunday Morning\u201d in a pre-taped interview, when asked if he was considering a White House campaign.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d just be lying. And I\u2019m not \u2014 I can\u2019t do that.\u201d<\/p>\n
In recent months, Newsom has swung through key early states and launched a podcast where he\u2019s honed his debate skills \u2014 sparring with conservative guests.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s also turned his social media handles into troll accounts that consistently post bizarre and over-the-top responses to GOP critics.<\/p>\n
Newsom is term-limited in the Golden State and, therefore, can\u2019t seek a third consecutive term as governor. <\/p>\n

Polls regularly peg the slick-haired pol as a top contender in a Democratic primary.<\/p>\n
\u201cFate will determine that,\u201d Newsom added when pressed on whether he\u2019s inching toward a presidential bid.<\/p>\n
