Directed and written by\u00a0Alejandro Montoya Marin, the pic\u00a0won\u00a0the Best Comedy Award at the third annual\u00a0Smodcastle Film Festival.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe movie also stars\u00a0Alejandro De Hoyos\u00a0(The Man From Toronto),\u00a0Chelsea Rendon (Vida), Francisco Ramos\u00a0(Gentefied),\u00a0John Kaler\u00a0(The Wrong Guy) and Jason Konopisos-Alvarez\u00a0(Transformers: One) in this action-comedy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMontoya Marin is known for being part of\u00a0Robert Rodriguez\u2019s\u00a0original TV series\u00a0Rebel Without A Crew. Alejandro De Hoyos\u00a0produced under his\u00a0Alta California Pictures. The movie will be available for pre-sales on Sept. 16. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tEP de Hoyos says, \u201cWe are extremely honored to have Kevin as part of the team.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tDe Hoyos\u00a0is producing for\u00a0Alta California Pictures,\u00a0with\u00a0Kaler, Jasmin Espada, Walsh, Christina Gopal, and\u00a0Pedro Pano\u00a0serving as co-producers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSmith recently executive produced, edited and reprised his role as Silent Bob alongside Jason Mewes\u2019 Jay in Logic\u2019s feature directorial debut, Paradise Records, which made its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival.  Smith was in Cannes for the re-release of his 1999 controversial Catholic Matt Damon and Ben Affleck comedy Dogma which saw its distribution rights untangled and put back in the creator\u2019s hands via his View Askew Productions and Triple Media Film.
