The 28-year-old took to Reddit to share her side of things, explaining that her grandfather left her “a significant sum in his will,” which has since become a point of contention amid her family.<\/p>\n
To give more context, the woman notes that she has a half-sister named “Amy.” Growing up, the poster’s mom always insisted that the two girls “should be treated the same.”<\/p>\n
However, the poster says that Amy “made [her] life hell,” by “bullying” her, “stealing” her stuff, and getting her in trouble for things she “didn’t do.”<\/p>\n
She notes that they “were never close,” and that they didn’t speak for years after Amy moved out at 18.<\/p>\n

“Now that my grandfather passed, my half-sister and my mom are both saying it’s only fair that I split what I got 50\/50 because ‘family is family,'” the poster writes.<\/p>\n
