\n\tAfter discovering that a potential \u201cStar Wars<\/a>\u201d project titled \u201cThe Hunt for Ben Solo\u201d was shelved back in 2021, fans are rallying for Disney to reconsider their decision with a new billboard in New York City.<\/p>\n

\n\tDays after \u201cStar Wars\u201d fans paid for a plane<\/a> to fly a banner reading \u201cSave The Hunt for Ben Solo\u201d over Disney Studios in Burbank, Calif., Collider reported<\/a> that a billboard popped up at 1500 Broadway, between 43rd and 44th, above Carlo\u2019s Bake Shop. The sign read \u201cFor Adam. No one\u2019s ever really gone. Hope lives. Ben is alive! #THBS.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a recent interview<\/a> with AP, Adam Driver<\/a> spoke about the development process for \u201cThe Hunt for Ben Solo\u201d and working with director Steven Soderbergh. The film would follow Ben Solo on a quest for redemption, shortly after the events of \u201cThe Rise of Skywalker.\u201d The screenplay was edited by Soderbergh and \u201cLogan Lucky\u201d screenwriter Rebecca Blunt, later bringing on Scott Z. Burns to pen the script.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI always was interested in doing another \u2018Star Wars,\u2019\u201d said Driver. \u201cI had been talking about doing another one since 2021. Kathleen [Kennedy] had reached out. I always said: \u2018With a great director and a great story, I\u2019d be there in a second.\u2019 I loved that character and loved playing him. It was called \u2018The Hunt for Ben Solo,\u2019 and it was really cool. But it is no more, so I can finally talk about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring the interview, Driver revealed how the script was received and how the project was shut down. \u201cWe presented the script to Lucasfilm. They loved the idea. They totally understood our angle and why we were doing it,\u201d Driver said. \u201cWe took it to Bob Iger and Alan Bergman and they said no. They didn\u2019t see how Ben Solo was alive. And that was that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSoderbergh commented on Driver\u2019s reveal on his Bluesky account, confirming <\/a>the existence of the project. \u201cFor the record, I did not enjoy lying about the existence of \u2018THE HUNT FOR BEN SOLO,\u2019 but it really did need to remain a secret\u2026until now!\u201d<\/p>\n
