(WTOK) &#8211; The Newton County FFA held a farmer\u2019s market this morning, inviting everyone from around Newton County to come and shop local.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The market had a wide selection of fresh produce, plants, baked goods, and even some laying hens.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Eric Johannsen with the Red Goat General Store said events like this help bring the community together and get people to come out and shop locally.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cIt\u2019s just a good community event for everybody to come out and visit with one another, whether it\u2019s the shoppers visiting with each other, or the vendors and shoppers. It\u2019s on the grounds of the schools, put on by the FFA.
