{"id":334984,"date":"2025-10-27T01:03:29","date_gmt":"2025-10-27T01:03:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/334984\/"},"modified":"2025-10-27T01:03:29","modified_gmt":"2025-10-27T01:03:29","slug":"philly-teen-sentenced-for-high-speed-stolen-car-chase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/334984\/","title":{"rendered":"Philly teen sentenced for high-speed, stolen car chase"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Philadelphia teenager was sentenced to up to 10 years in state prison after pleading guilty to nearly striking two state troopers and multiple road workers during a <a href=\"https:\/\/lancaster.crimewatchpa.com\/da\/11617\/post\/philadelphia-teen-sentenced-10-years-prison-after-pleading-guilty-nearly-striking?fbclid=IwY2xjawNnVJhleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBicmlkETFkcVEwemZ1Ukg4QWJSa3RUAR5psFqJBlyc40j6q0UX35fIUPd0_LTfwdpuyOQV5wfEmUlqXlSWx8azl6ldYw_aem_ZtkDxcm-D0jiXnaYAQT_5g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">high-speed chase in a stolen car<\/a>, officials said Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Keniel Ian Junio Wright pleaded guilty earlier this month to aggravated assault, fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, receiving stolen property, reckless endangerment and other offenses.<\/p>\n<p>Wright, now 19, was accused of leading police on a nine-mile chase that began in Salisbury Township in the early morning hours of May 9, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>State troopers first spotted the then-17-year-old driving erratically along Lincoln Highway near Brackbill Road and attempted to pull him over, the Lancaster County District Attorney\u2019s Office said in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of stopping, however, Wright accelerated through an active construction zone, nearly hitting five workers, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n<p>He also ran over several traffic cones and entered the lane of oncoming traffic multiple times, reaching speeds of more than 130 mph.
