They just do SWET,\u201d Couser said. \u201cAnd so they get a taste of outdoor activities, but they also get kind of the foundations of fitness, so it\u2019s a pretty eclectic group of students.\u201d \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"-webkit-user-drag: none; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; margin: 0px 0px 10.6667px; padding: 0px; user-select: text; overflow-wrap: break-word; white-space: pre-wrap; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; vertical-align: baseline; font-kerning: none; background-color: transparent; color: windowtext; text-align: left; text-indent: 0px;\"><strong>WHILE STUDENTS<\/strong> may attend as often as they want; it&#8217;s not uncommon for students to become dedicated participants. This includes eighth grader Collin Fetveit, who is in his second year of SWET and hasn\u2019t missed a single class.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"-webkit-user-drag: none; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; margin: 0px 0px 10.6667px; padding: 0px; user-select: text; overflow-wrap: break-word; white-space: pre-wrap; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; vertical-align: baseline; font-kerning: none; background-color: transparent; color: windowtext; text-align: left; text-indent: 0px;\">\u201cI needed something after school to keep me busy and I just fell in love with it,\u201d Fetveit said. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"-webkit-user-drag: none; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; margin: 0px 0px 10.6667px; padding: 0px; user-select: text; overflow-wrap: break-word; white-space: pre-wrap; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; vertical-align: baseline; font-kerning: none; background-color: transparent; color: windowtext; text-align: left; text-indent: 0px;\">Up to 30 students may sign up online for the strength and fitness classes. Depending on the field trip activity and the number of volunteer chaperones, who provide transportation, he said group sizes have ranged from 20 to 35 students. To go on a field trip, students must also earn a \u201ctwo\u201d grade in work ethic in all their academic classes. Meeting every other day meets state accreditation, but the school previously exceeded requirements by holding daily classes, he said. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"-webkit-user-drag: none; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; margin: 16px 0px; padding: 0px; user-select: text; overflow-wrap: break-word; white-space: pre-wrap; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; vertical-align: baseline; font-kerning: none; background-color: transparent; color: windowtext; text-align: left; text-indent: 0px;\">In Montana, seventh and eighth graders must complete \u201chalf a unit\u201d of health and P.E. each year, equal to 4,050 minutes (half of the <a href=\"https:\/\/rules.mt.gov\/browse\/collections\/aec52c46-128e-4279-9068-8af5d5432d74\/policies\/ddf4f022-5e69-4d11-8732-d35cb7bca9d0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">8,100 minutes that define<\/a> a full unit).
